Unnatural Selection (series)

Unnatural Selection is a 2019 TV series about the underground world of genetic engineering for profit.

8 out of 10 stars.  I never knew there was such a thing as a biohacker, but they are absolutely terrifying.  This is equivalent to nuclear bombs in the hands of morons, one of the most dangerous areas of science I can think of.  And it most definitely should be highly regulated.

This series is about a group of uneducated hillbillies trying to get rich by editing the DNA of animals to create something spectacular.  Unfortunately these hillbillies have the morals of Hitler.  Twenty minutes in I was sickened by the videos they started to show with animals that had been mutated using the CRISPR dna-editing bacteria.  There currently is no regulation in the use of this technology and these hillbillies have gone from using it on animals to using it on people, volunteers desperate for cures.

What repulsed me the most was that apparently this industry has been around for awhile and they post videos of their mutated animals all over YouTube.  :0  How irresponsible is Google, who owns YouTube, that they would allow this???

8 out of 10 stars for the documentary.  0 starts for Google and the science industry who have no morals whatsoever.
