Sewing in a Straight Line by Brett Bara is a sewing project book specifically designed for straight line sewing.
1 out of 10 stars. Because the premise of this book is to sew only in straight lines, the projects are pretty basic and don’t fit well. The shirt and cardigan have box sleeves like a caftan and the stuffed animals don’t look at all like the animals they’re supposed to be. The origami dress has no sleeves, only thin spaghetti straps because otherwise there would be curves. So as a concept, straight lines fails.
Projects
1 out of 10 stars. Of the 26 projects, I would only be interested in trying two of them, the pillow sham which is very basic and the jewelry organizer. In both cases I would significantly modify the sewing instructions and the end product. As is they are not very pretty.
