Hidden is a 2018 Welsh series about several missing girls and murders.

10 out of 10 stars. Turn on the subtitles because this is hard to understand, but if you hang in there, it’s worth it.

This is a surprisingly good, but very dark Welsh series put out by BBC. I would suggest turning on subtitles because even when they are speaking English rather than Gaelic, the accents are thick.

The story begins with a young woman found after having disappeared six years ago. When they conduct an autopsy they discover she was put through a forced termination of a pregnancy (abortion) in the last trimester and this was done recently. There are also indications she was shackled by her wrists and ankles for a very long period of time (six years). Since everyone assumed the girl had run away 6 years ago they are shocked to discover that she was being held captive and was held captive for 6 years.

What the series reveals in the very first episode is the actual serial killer, a 40 something socially inept and violent man who lives with his mother and his 10 year old daughter. And he’s been at this for more than 11 years. :0

10 out of 10 stars. Bingeworthy, but don’t watch it alone.
